For this project, you will choose one a monument in the United States and research that monument. You will then create a page of this wikispace and fill it with information about that monument.
Your wikispace must include:
- the historical significance of your monument (who, what, where, why, how)
- information on the construction of the monument
- at least 3 interesting, little-known facts about the monument or significance behind the monument
- a commercial embedded on the page "selling" your monument to possible viewers
- a "poster" advertising the monument
- a "kids corner" with education information presented in a fun way for kids
- a personal reaction (1 per person) answering the following questions:
1. Why did you choose the monument?
2. What prior knowledge of the monument did you have?
3. What new information did you learn?
4. Have you ever been to the monument?
5. Ideas for new events to held at the monument.
Since you will work with ONE other student for this project, there is also a collaboration aspect to the project. You will use the Discussion Tab to create the Wiki. I will e able to see who made contributions to the Wiki; therefore, everyone will be held equally accountable for the final project.
